For Real?

I have never much respected figures of authority, I inherited it from my parents, but I have experienced a new low on my respecto-meter.

I was minding my own business(as per usual) when one of my lovely deans spotted me and decided to make my life a lot more complicated (I swear they plot out the demise of all the students living in the dorm). The following is a replication of the discussion that ensued.

"Oh there you are!" Dean.

"Um... Hi?" Me

"I need to talk to you about this summer." Dean

"Uh, okay." Me

"What are you doing this summer?" Dean

"I am working all summer." Me

"Oh you're taking summer classes that's nice." Dean

"...Um... No I am working all summer on campus." Me, slightly confused.

"Oh! You're working." Dean

"Yeah, all summer." Me

"How long are you working for?" Dean.

"All summer..." Me, speaking very slowly.

"Oh, well then, you need to move rooms for the summer." Dean

"Okay, well then I want to move into the room I will be in next fall." Me

"Okay, what room is that." Dean.

Me thinking "How should I know, I am in the middle of working, you're the dean with the freaking list."

"Um... It's on third somewhere." Me

"Okay, 365." Dean

"Sure?" Me

"Okay well there is a girl in that room now attending first session of summer school." Dean

"Okay?" Me

"Okay, your in 465." Dean

"She was on third." Nice random lady who was subjected to this conversation.

"Oh, you're right." Dean

"So I'm all good now." Me

"You need to be in that room before June 1." Dean

"Alright, I can do that." Me

"Make sure to move after your first class is over." Dean

"???" I don't even know what to say.

I didn't realize until a few days later that the dean had stuck me in the wrong room... I just decided to deal with the fact that the dean will never be able to tell the difference between me and any of my previous roommates.
