Silly Rabbit

Anyone who does not know how that ends must have had a sad, sad childhood. Either that or they have Alzheimers, which would really suck.

Trix are for kids.
I bought a box of Trix cereal last week and was very disappointed. They stopped making the little cereal pieces in the shape of fruit. This is highly destressing because that was half the reason I loved the it as a child. They are now round swirly colorful balls that look a lot like Kix, only after someone threw up technicolor on them. It's a rather uncomfortable thought to have while eating breakfast.

Best cereal ever!
Does it make me a child because I eat Trix for breakfast? (please say yes and then tell me I can act like a child; play outside all summer and not have to work. It would be fantastic). I have to say that working full time blows. I don't understand how adults have to time to do anything. I get up go to work, come home take a shower and then pass out. It's not super productive. It's also kind of annoying because I was hired as part time and they keep giving me 40+ hours a week... that isn't part time. I would normally be down with more hours, but since I am trying to apply to grad school it makes it really difficult to get anything done.

Crossed Fingers

By tomorrow I will know if I have finally graduated! Mwahahahahahaha. I can't even begin to explain how wonky I feel right now. Emotions are flying all over the place, it's like giving a child a xylophone. A bright shiny rainbow colored one.

Life has been surprisingly similar to the Superman ride at sixflags magic mountain, in California.

College was the standing in line waiting for the actual ride, I didn't really go anywhere but it was mildly amusing if my friends where with me. Then graduation is getting in the cart, and before I even realized what was happening I had sped up to mach 5 and was flying up what felt like a super short track. Only to stop abruptly before getting to the prize. (for this example, it would be the superman statue at the end of the track.) Then, in less than six seconds, the entire trip is over and I am left standing at the exit with an entire theme park to play in.

And I have no idea where I want to go first.

TGIF ... Grad school blues

I woke up this morning determined to get to work early and promptly went back to bed when my alarm went off. An extra five minutes became an hour, and then next thing I know it's past ten in the morning. Not a good thing to realize when the coffee hasn't even been made yet.

Work ended up with me looking into various graduate schools. They are freaking expensive! And the degree that I want, MFA in creative writing, has really competitive programs. Makes me want to cry. It would probably be better if I wasn't trying to get into the top schools in the country ... But if I am going to willing get more schooling it is not going to be at an unknown school. I am so done with that. Most of the candidates are on the east coast, surprise surprise, and have a max of ten students they allow into the program every year. This doesn't make it sound very inviting to me. Another problem is my GPA, it is not above a 3.0 right now. It really needs to be above a 3.0 for me to be taken even remotely seriously during this process. This won't be a problem if the deadline is after January, I can get my grades up in one semester. I can. But if any of the application deadlines are before January I am screwed.

Basically this whole process is going to kick my ass.

Happy Friday!
