How has something as intangible as emotions are become thee moral high ground? It is wrong to kill someone out of cold blood, it is wrong to kill someone out desire for death, it is wrong to kill someone for fun, but it’s ok to kill someone out of love? To kill a person who is someone’s child, parent, sibling, lover all in the name of love. How can that be acceptable? What has become of this world if emotions are the rules?
Emotions have never been, are not, and will never be stable; therefore emotions cannot be the bar by which actions are judged. It might seem noble and gallant for a person to fight and kill for love, fairy tales certainly teach that, but in the end regardless of the reasons they have still stolen something of value. There is not a single person who is not loved, valued, and cherished by someone else, it might take a while to find that person, but they are out there.
If someone is going to kill another human being, for death is a natural part of life and cannot be denied it’s due, I wish that person would take responsibility for death and not try to explain it away as a noble deed done in love. Every person will have to face the dark side of life, will have to face their worst fears and deadliest desires, what defines a person is how they walk away from that encounter. If someone is broken by what they see then they were weak. If someone walks away hurt but with a desire to make the world a better place then they are strong. If someone walks away seemingly unscathed from the black depths of the human soul, then they are not human, they are a devil in disguise. And that is what they are, devils. Any person who uses love as the reason behind their actions, actions that are hurting others, is a devil. The excuse “I did it for you” is something only selfish people use. If you really loved that other person you would be willing to concede to their desires, not force yours on them. After all, love is only an illusion.
Loved this. "Every person will have to face the dark side of life, will have to face their worst fears and deadliest desires, what defines a person is how they walk away from that encounter." I LOVE LOVE LOVE that, especially the last bit.
